Igor Gluščević (born 30 March 1974 in Budva, Montenegro, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) is a retired Montenegrin professional footballer who played as a striker.

Football career

Gluščević started his professional career with Vojvodina Novi Sad. After scoring seven goals in two seasons, he moved to Spain's CF Extremadura; having contributed little as the side was relegated from La Liga in 1997, he netted 24 times for an immediate promotion back, being crowned the competition's top scorer.

However, Gluščević decided to stay in the category, moving to Sevilla FC, and being an important offensive element in the Andalusians' 1999 promotion. At the end of the season, he joined Aris Thessaloniki in Greece.

After another sole season, Gluščević moved to Dutch club FC Utrecht, where he experienced his most prolific years, with 39 goals in 84 games. After a brief spell with Sparta Prague, he returned to the Netherlands, this time with Vitesse Arnhem, failing to produce in his second year.

Having started 2006-07 in China with Shandong Luneng Taishan, Gluščević moved once again to Holland in January 2007, signing with Heracles Almelo and being released at the end of 2007–08, following which he retired from football, aged 34.
